Step 1. Open the Signal Messaging app on your smartphone.
Step 2. Tap on the User icon at the top left-hand side of the home screen.
Step 3. In the settings menu, tap on the ‘About‘ option.
Step 4. The version number will be shown at the top of the menu.
You can now make note of the version of Signal you are using and then check online if there is any update. This is useful when you have turned off the automatic updates for apps on your smartphone.
